ANC Research & Development, LLC (ANC R&D) was founded in 2005 to provide air and missile defense support to the Department of Defense. ANC R&D received its 8(a) certification from the U.S. Small Business Administration in October 2006.

In August 2007, ANC R&D opened an office in Anchorage, AK and initiated a Construction Division.
